Liu Xiaotao, Party secretary of Suzhou, led a delegation from the city to France and the Netherlands from Feb 22 to 27.

During their visit to France, the delegation engaged in discussions with leading companies such as Schneider Electric and L'Oréal, reaffirming Suzhou's commitment to broadening its global economic presence.

Liu underscored Suzhou's status as a premier investment destination, citing its robust industrial infrastructure and efficient government services.

He also highlighted the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, encouraging enterprises to deepen their involvement in Suzhou and contribute to the enduring friendship between the two nations.

Conversations with French business leaders revealed mutual interest in the Chinese market, particularly in sectors such as green energy, biomedicine, and new materials, signaling opportunities for enhanced collaboration.

In the Netherlands, the delegation explored potential partnerships with local companies, including industry giant Philips.

Liu reiterated Suzhou's dedication to high-quality opening-up, urging the exploration of synergies and the establishment of exemplary Sino-Dutch industrial projects.

Leaders from Dutch companies and institutions expressed their willingness to expand investments in Suzhou, recognizing the city's potential as a center for growth and innovation.

Additionally, the delegation organized business seminars in Paris and Eindhoven, spotlighting Suzhou's dynamic business landscape and extending invitations for collaboration to global stakeholders.
