The fourth edition of the "Double 12 Suzhou Shopping Festival" commenced on Dec 9.
This year's festival will extend until February 2024 and will include New Year's Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival, all of which are busy shopping times.
It will revolve around 12 key areas, including home appliances, Suzhou manufacturing, time-honored brands, inaugural stores, live-streamed e-commerce, dining, cultural and tourism consumption, automobiles, cross-border shopping, sports, supermarket promotions, and information consumption.
Over 1,800 promotional events will be launched, mobilizing brand enterprises, businesses, and commercial districts both online and offline.
The festival's opening ceremony featured three main themes: "Abundant Blessings," "Blessed Suzhou," and "Gathering Luck for the New Year."
"Blessed Suzhou" aims to introduce consumers to distinctive and trendy consumption experiences throughout the city.
"Gathering Luck for the New Year" will showcase Suzhou's intangible cultural heritage consumer brands, unveiling new products and brands under the theme "Suzhou Manufacturing" for this year's Double 12 Shopping Festival.
"Abundant Blessings" will see leaders from various online and offline platforms and commercial entities to interacting with consumers and offering a wide array of exciting online and offline discounts.
