Suzhou-based Higer Bus Co recently exported 780 high-end buses to Saudi Arabia, local media reported on May 17.

The delivery ceremony was held in the Suzhou Industrial Park. With a value of over 400 million yuan ($57.12 million), it is the most valuable bus export China has made to Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Mohamed Yassin, product manager of Higer's Saudi distributor Zahid Tractor, stated that with Higer's excellent product quality, good reputation, and close cooperation, both sides are sure to have a bright future.

Recognizing the arid, hot, and dusty climate of Saudi Arabia, Higer conducted extensive research into the country's vehicle requirements and manufactured buses capable of operating in the local climate and complex road conditions with ease.

As an important participant of the Belt and Road Initiative, Saudi Arabia has been one of the largest export markets for Chinese buses for many years.

Higer, as a pioneer in the Chinese bus industry's international expansion, began operating in Saudi Arabia as early as 2007. So far, Higer has exported nearly 4,000 buses to Saudi Arabia, including pilgrimage vehicles, school buses, public transportation buses, and sightseeing buses.
