A fair showcasing about 20 time-honored Suzhou speciality brands will open on Guanqian Street in Gusu district, Suzhou on Jan 31, according to the organizer Suzhou Bureau of Commerce.
Local authorities noted that these brands were popular with locals and tourists during the week-long Spring Festival holiday, which ended on Jan 27.
The authorities said the fair was designed to promote the influence and sales of Suzhou’s time-honored speciality brands, including Lei Yun Shang pharmacy, Dao Xiang Cun pastry, and Song He Lou noodles.
A ceremony will also be held during the fair to celebrate the discounted online sales of these brands.
