Over 200 food-related activities supported by more than 100 catering brands will be held in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, during this year's Spring Festival holiday.
As part of the Double 12 Shopping Festival, the opening ceremony of the food festival will be held in Wujiang district on Jan 26, during which a Suzhou Food Map with various sales events will be released.
A Suzhou gourmet market will be available on Jan 26-27, featuring more than 60 local catering brands. Various themed areas, including the "Bite Intangible Cultural Heritages" and "Encounter Coffee" areas, will provide visitors with traditional food, pastries, snacks, desserts and drinks. A variety of interactive activities will also be on display in celebration of the Spring Festival.
During the Spring Festival holiday, time-honored local restaurants will present boxes of pre-made dishes or pre-made supplies for New Year's Eve dinner and hold various special food promotions.
Suzhoudao, an online service platform for Suzhou, will launch a special service module promoting special purchases and food for the Spring Festival with discounted prices.
