Suzhou marks strong 2025 start with major project milestones

Suzhou has witnessed a series of project signings, groundbreakings, completions, and operational launches across its districts on Jan 2 - the first workday of 2025 - marking a strong start to the new year.

Taicang, a county-level city of Suzhou, held a groundbreaking ceremony for eight major projects with a total investment exceeding 6 billion yuan ($821.98 million). These projects span critical industries, including new energy vehicles, equipment testing, new materials, and precision machinery.

Wujiang district celebrated the commencement, completion, and operational launch of five projects totaling 5.77 billion yuan in investment on the same day.

In Suzhou New District, the ESR Taihu Science City International Modern Industrial Park officially broke ground. The project aims to attract multinational corporations and industry leaders in photonics, life sciences, integrated circuits, and new energy materials. Once operational, the park is projected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 5 billion yuan.

The day also saw the successful topping out of the Land MOBO Center (Sino-Saudi Center) in Changshu, a county-level city of Suzhou. The center will introduce a range of international technology transfer platforms and innovative enterprises upon completion, setting a new benchmark for Sino-European and Sino-Saudi cooperation.

Crystal Pharmatech's global R&D headquarters, the Crystal Building, officially opened in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). With the opening of this headquarters, the company will deepen its roots in SIP and fully leverage its global R&D and production center layout in Suzhou, China, the United States, and Canada to attract more outstanding R&D, production, and management talents.

These milestones highlight Suzhou's dynamic economic momentum and commitment to fostering innovation and industrial growth in 2025.
