The 2024 China Robot Industry Development Conference took place in Suzhou's Wuzhong district on Nov 19, marking a significant leap forward for the city's thriving robotics sector.
During the conference, agreements for 27 projects with a total investment of 13.27 billion yuan ($1.83 billion) were signed. Key milestones included the launch of the Jiangsu Humanoid Robot Manufacturing Innovation Center and the unveiling of the New-Type Industrialization Robot Industry Demonstration Base.
In recent years, Suzhou has positioned the robotics industry as a strategic pillar of its industrial ecosystem. The city has steadily expanded the sector, establishing a comprehensive industry chain that spans key components, robot manufacturing, and application.
