This year, Suzhou has made significant strides in integrating resources across its ports.
As of Nov 18, Suzhou Port's container throughput for 2024 has surpassed 9 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), reaching the milestone 19 days earlier than last year.
The city has strategically enhanced the transshipment of goods and consolidated heavy cargo at Zhangjiagang Port. Additionally, pulp, oil, chemicals, and wind power equipment have been centralized at Changshu Port.

In addition, leveraging Taicang Port's strengths, Suzhou Port has improved its internal shuttle bus service capabilities, better coordinating the use of port-wide shipping resources to attract more cargo for consolidation.

Furthermore, Suzhou Port has strengthened data sharing and promoted the construction of a one-stop information service platform, aiming to coordinate public resources across the Yangtze River port areas in Suzhou and drive throughput growth in all port areas.
