Suzhou International Entrepreneurship Week for Elites opens

The Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites and the fifth Suzhou Science Day officially commenced on July 10.

The event attracted 3,125 outstanding talents from over 40 countries and regions, presenting 3,082 innovative projects and discussing future trends in technology and innovation.

During the opening ceremony, Suzhou unveiled its 2024 talent policy, aiming to build a comprehensive "1+8" talent policy system. This initiative demonstrates Suzhou's commitment to welcoming international elites and global entrepreneurs with greater support, sincerity, and services.

Suzhou's talent pool has reached impressive numbers, with a total of 3.9 million professionals, including over 63,000 returnees from overseas studies. These figures highlight Suzhou's success in attracting and nurturing talent.

Since its inception in 2009, Suzhou International Entrepreneurship Week has been held 15 times, establishing itself as a key platform for attracting high-level talent from around the world.

Nearly half of the 13,000 projects introduced through the event are from overseas, primarily focused on emerging industries such as high-end equipment, next-generation information technology, biomedicine, and healthcare.
