The Suzhou Bureau of Commerce announced the results of the 2023 First Store Economy Awards on its official website on June 18.

In recent years, Suzhou has developed its first-store economy. In 2023, the city welcomed 249 new first stores, an increase of 88 compared to 2021. These new entries bring a richer variety of brands and formats, enhancing the quality of the city's consumer offerings and unlocking Suzhou's consumption potential.

In the "Most Influential First Store" category, French women's fashion brand Ami Paris, Italian jewelry brand Pomellato, and the Suzhou flagship store of the local brand Ecovacs stood out for their unique brand appeal, market impact, and innovative business models. These stores have introduced new consumer experiences to Suzhou residents and injected fresh vitality into the city's commercial development.

Additionally, 10 stores, including Alps Snow Live, were recognized as the "Most Popular First Stores." These stores have attracted numerous consumers with their high-quality products and services, comfortable shopping environments, and unique cultural atmospheres, becoming popular leisure destinations for Suzhou residents.

The "Suzhou First Store Contribution Award" was awarded to several establishments, including Suzhou Center Mall, for their exceptional contributions and innovation in attracting first stores.

These establishments have played a significant role in diversifying the city's commercial landscape and advancing Suzhou's international commercial presence, thereby enhancing the city's commercial vibrancy and brand influence. This development also supports the upcoming 2024 Suzhou Linked Shanghai Shopping Festival.
