The Suzhou commerce bureau hosted a virtual meeting with multinational corporations such as Japan-based NSK Ltd and German-based BBS Automatic Group to discuss cooperation opportunities on Feb 23.

Suzhou Mayor Li Yaping expressed his gratitude for the long-term support of these companies in promoting the high-quality social development of Suzhou and its fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to Li, Japan-based NSK Ltd, which has been operating in Suzhou for over 25 years, has established many branches in Suzhou New District, Changshu and Zhangjiagang. The NSK (China) Research and Development Co Ltd has become the largest R&D center of the group outside of Japan.

Li expects the Japanese company to bring more new projects, technologies and products of the digital economy to Suzhou.

Josef Wildgruber, CEO of the German-based BBS Automatic Group, spoke highly of the business environment of Suzhou and showed positive cooperation intent at the meeting.

The group, which has more than 50 years of experience in automation, is a global leader in intelligent manufacturing. In November 2020, the group's Weikun Intelligent Technology (Jiangsu) Co invested by the group was launched in Kunshan.
