The first special meeting on the supervision and promotion mechanism for key tasks in the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone was held in the Suzhou Free Trade Zone on Nov 11.
The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant government departments in Nanjing, Suzhou and Lianyungang, who learned about the 19 measures released by the State Council to promote the reform and innovation of trade and investment facilitation in pilot free trade zones.
During the meeting, Sun Yangcheng, deputy director of the management committee of SFTZ, gave a briefing on the development situation of SFTZ and put forward suggestions to provincial departments regarding policy barriers and development obstacles encountered in the zone.
Cui Jian, deputy director of the leading group office of the Jiangsu Pilot FTZ, commended the development of SFTZ in piloting opening-up, technological innovation, industrial upgrading and the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta region in Jiangsu province.
Cui urged the management committee of SFTZ to make greater contributions to the joint development of the Yangtze River Delta Pilot Free Trade Zone and drive the development of high-level open platforms across the province.
