The "Colloque Economique France-Jiangsu" economic cooperation seminar was held in Taicang, Jiangsu province on Oct 14.
Benoit Guidee, the consul general of France to Shanghai, said during the seminar that French companies are seeing Taicang as a top investment destination in China and the French embassy in Shanghai will continue to support these companies.
Two French companies, Dassault Aviation and Cathay Capital, signed agreements to set up projects in Taicang during the seminar.
According to local authorities, Taicang currently boasts economic cooperation with 1,500 foreign companies from over 160 countries and regions. French companies Fives Group and Alpes also have investments in the city.
